OLEDB (OLEDB Provider) driver is a program enabling communication with the database with the help of ADO interface - a basic way of access to the data, used for RAD tools in Microsoft Windows environment. MedProv driver is devoted for the users of Mediator pack, who are going to create new programs in tools, which use ADO - for example: Delphi, MS Visual Basic or Visual Basic for Applications being a part of MS Office pack.
The driver allows for comfortable and safe co-usage of tables by xBase/Madiator applications and by the applications which use ADO/OLEDB created in Visual Basic, Delphi or other environment. Using OLEDB driver for Mediator makes the correct cooperation of the mentioned applications with blocking, modifying, adding and reading of records managed by Mediator server easier.
The driver may be also used by C/C++ programmers who directly use OLE objects.
The present driver version enables the access both to the tables managed by Mediator server and to DBF files with NTX or CDX indexes. OLEDB for Mediator may cooperate with the following RDD drivers: MEDNTX, MEDCDX, DBFNTX and DBFCDX.
